For my world history class we were tasked with doing many projects and we are write about one of our choosing.  The image above shows my Roman News Projects we made in history class. This assignment was probably one of my favorites since I was able to create a newspaper however I wanted it to look.  You were also able to make little ads if you wanted to. On this project I address three main topics of Rome and I write as if i’m living there right now. The first main topic that I address is the common Roman literature.  Where I talk about how most of our writing comes from the Greeks styles and how the majority of our writing is in Latin. I also talk a little bit about some famous poets like Martial who wrote really harsh poems and Virgil who wrote the Aeneid.  The next topic that I talked about was called “Caesar Augustus Explained” where I addressed things like who Caesar Augustus was and what kind of man he was. I also talk about the positives about him being a great emperor. The last topic I address is the Punic Wars.  In that part of my news I talk about the first punic war and who won which was the Romans and some strategies we used against Carthage. I then talk about the second punic war and how the Romans won that war as well and what was the cause of it. Lastly I talked about the third punic war and how the Romans won again.  Too end it I conclude some of the positives and negatives about the wars. The last thing I will mention is that my news project also contains little side articles like “Effects of Conquered Lands” and “Roman Weather”.
